Internship is an important period in a doctor’s career. During this period, many skills are learnt and the knowledge and skills acquired during training are consolidated.

The internship committee (Ministry of Health and Rwanda Medical and Dental Council) has designed the attached logbook for purposes of standardizing internship training with a particular emphasis on core competencies and skills to be acquired during this period.

The log book shall be approved by the relevant supervisors. There will be an assessment form for use by supervisors in addition to the log book.

The report of the assessment is a useful feedback to the internship committee, which determines whether one qualifies for registration as a Medical or Dental Practitioner.
