The Rwanda Surgical Society (RSS) is a National Chapter of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA).

The RSS will hold its Assembly General Meeting (AGM) on November 6 and its 7the Annual Conference on November 7-8, 2014 at Alpha Palace Hotel.

The theme of this year is about “PEDIATRIC SURGERY IN RWANDA”. Indeed the plight of pediatric surgical disease is a worldwide public health concern ; however access to pediatric surgery in low income countries and in Rwanda in particular is hampered by insufficient human resources.

The purpose of this meeting is to raise awareness among the main stakeholders and reflect together on the way forward.

The learning Objectives are the following :

1. TO UNDERSTAND THE MANAGEMENT OF KEY PEDIATRIC GENERAL SURGERY AND TRAUMA DISEASE IN RWANDA

2. TO UNDERSTAND THE MANAGEMENT OF KEY PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC DISEASE IN RWANDA

3. TO UNDERSTAND THE MANAGEMENT OF KEY PEDIATRIC NEUROSURGERY DISEASE IN RWANDA

4. TO UNDERSTAND THE MANAGEMENT OF KEY PEDIATRIC UROLOGY DISEASE IN RWANDA

5. TO SHARE OTHER SURGICAL CONCEPTUAL ISSUES.

This RSS 7th Annual Scientific Conference is accredited CPD activity ; full participation will allow you to earn Twelve (12) CPD credits.
