Introduction

The Rwanda Medical Council is the regulatory body for the practice of medicine in RWANDA. It is a professional, administrative and jurisdictional body that oversees the medical profession. The Vision of the Rwanda Medical Council is to have a Rwandan society where the population has access to quality health care services, where the medical profession excels and reinforces its dignity by continuous progress.

In pursuance of its statutory obligations and functions, the Council has approved a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program to improve, renew, and update the skills and ability of all doctors and to ensure that appropriate, high-quality health services are being provided to patients. To improve the professional status of CPD coordination committee members and to link them with innovations and improve skills in project management, monitoring and evaluation ; CPD office is organizing a training on “Monitoring and Evaluation” for members of CPD coordination committee. .

Objectives of Seminar

General Objective

The objective of the present training is to enable participants to acquire knowledge as well as skills in monitoring and evaluation of program/projects

Specific objectives and outcomes :

By the end of training, all participants will be able to :

  • Monitor and evaluate projects within a program
  • Design and manage the strategic plan of a program
  • Ensure program performance management through effective human and financial management
  • Show fundamental skills : general management skills, communicating skills, negotiating skills and problem solving skills.
