Rwanda Health Professional Forum is a forum that brings together all health professionals councils and associations in Rwanda that was initiated on.

Rwanda Health Professional Forum advocates on behalf of its members and the public for access to high quality health care services, and provides leadership and guidance to health providers in the country
Pursuant to the Law No49/2012 of 28/1/2013 establishing the medical professional liability insurance that states that every health professional whether public or private, must obtain an insurance from a state-authorized insurance company. It is in this regard that Rwanda Health Professionals Forum would like to provide the best and most cost-effective cover to its members.

The law provides for both the Minister of Finance and Economic Development and the Minister of Health to come up with Ministerial Instructions ahead of the implementation of the Law.

All the Health Professional Councils and Associations came together to negotiate with Insurances on behalf of the members.

We are therefore soliciting proposals from insurance brokers with regard to professional medical liability insurance cover.

We anticipate that the whole negotiation process must be finalized by end of the year 2014. We shall keep you update as the process goes and look forward to your inputs.
