It is with great pleasure and honor that we invite you to join us in the 1st RSA scientific conference ( Rwanda Society of Anaesthesiologist) which will be held at the Mille Colline Hotel –Kigali Rwanda on the 24th- 25th July 2014.

The RSA mandate is to continually improve knowledge and performance of Anaesthesiologists and other health professionals invested in anaesthesia. The practitioner of anesthesiology must possess the scientific background for clinical practice ; maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of not only the specialty, but also of all additional related disciplines which may impact it ; maintain an up-to-the-minute armamentarium of knowledge and skills for the selection and use of complex equipment, pharmacological agents, and procedures necessary for the provision of quality patient care ; manage self and colleagues to function toward common goals in the clinical setting.

The first scientific conference and annual general assembly is an opportunity for the RSA to present its expertise and build partnership with various bodies dedicated to :

SAFE ANAESTHESIA FOR SAFE SURGERY.

• The main theme will be "OUTCOME IN ANAESTHESIA AND MATERNAL AND NEWBORN SAFETY IN ANAESTHESIA" ;

• Peri-operative Pain management
• Emergency obstetric anaesthesia and resuscitation management of the newborn
• Life-box and surgical checklist
• Critical care
• Endocrine diseases and anaesthesia
