Rwanda Medical and Dental Council (RMDC) has approved a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program to improve, renew, and update the skills and ability of all doctors and to ensure that appropriate, high-quality health services are being provided to patients.

With this audience the CHUK is organizing workshop on “Pain management” the workshop will be conducted on 25th April, 2013 at Hotel de mille collines.

At the end of the workshop, participants should be familiar with following concepts :
1. Discuss definition of pain and its prevalence ;
2. Describe the pharmacology of the analgesics drugs ;
3. Describe the anatomy and physiology of the pain ;
4. Understand the types of pain and its management ;
5. Understand the 3 steps WHO guidelines ;
6. Identify the indication for a referral or consultation with specialist.

The workshop is an accredited CPD activity ; full attendance to the workshop will allow you to earn CPD credits.
